Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture and delivery of modular add-ons across backend, frontend integration, and third-party integrations.
- Design and implement complex backend logic with Laravel, including middleware, queues, events, gates, and policies.
- Design optimized database schemas and performance strategies for high-traffic e-commerce environments.
- Lead frontend integration in a SingleSpa micro-frontend setup using Vue.js 3 and related technologies.
- Own Docker-based environments, release processes, rollouts, versioning, and production delivery.
- Ensure reliable live operations through monitoring, alerting, and proactive incident management in AWS environments.
- Serve as Technical Lead and final reviewer, mentor engineers, and enforce code quality and architectural standards.
- Promote and evaluate AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows, defining production guardrails and best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing, scaling, and operating complex full-stack web applications in production environments.
- Expert knowledge of PHP 8.x and Laravel, including middleware, queues, events, gates, and policies.
- Strong experience designing secure, multi-tenant, distributed, scalable systems with maintainable architecture.
- Advanced database and performance-engineering experience with MySQL/RDS, schema design, indexing, and Redis caching.
- Experience with Docker-based environments, CI/CD pipelines, AWS infrastructure, production monitoring, and alerting.
- Strong frontend development experience; Vue.js 3, TypeScript, and Pinia experience is a major advantage.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, including mentoring senior engineers, conducting code reviews, and making complex architectural decisions.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor, with the ability to evaluate their value and limitations.
- Strong understanding of SOLID and DRY principles and sustainable software maintainability.
