Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, implementation, release, and operation of scalable modular e-commerce add-ons.
- Design and implement advanced PHP and Laravel backend logic using queues, events, middleware, and authorization policies.
- Design high-performance database schemas, indexing strategies, and caching solutions for high-traffic environments.
- Oversee Vue.js 3 frontend integration within a SingleSpa micro-frontend setup.
- Lead Docker-based environments, release processes, semantic versioning, and CI/CD practices.
- Maintain production reliability through monitoring, alerting, and proactive incident response in AWS environments.
- Act as technical lead and final reviewer while mentoring engineers and enforcing code quality and architectural consistency.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows, including team standards, guardrails, and quality practices.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience building, scaling, and operating complex full-stack web applications in production.
- Expert proficiency in PHP 8.x and Laravel, including Middleware, Queues, Events, and Gates/Policies.
- Strong frontend development experience; Vue.js 3, TypeScript, and Pinia experience is a plus.
- Deep experience designing secure, multi-tenant, distributed systems with strong maintainability principles.
- Advanced database and performance engineering experience with MySQL/RDS, schema design, indexing, and Redis caching.
- Experience with Docker-based environments, CI/CD pipelines, semantic versioning, AWS infrastructure, and production monitoring and alerting.
- Strong technical leadership experience mentoring senior engineers, conducting code reviews, decomposing complex problems, and communicating technical decisions.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor, plus an informed perspective on their production use.
