Base Salary
$165k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own production software across Compa’s web application and backend systems from design through delivery.
- Build and maintain ML and AI integrations into data workflows, including an agent harness.
- Build new features and improve existing workflows in partnership with Product and Design.
- Lead architecture decisions and write clean, scalable code.
- Drive code review and influence the technical roadmap and direction.
- Solve enterprise compensation-team problems across data pipelines and user experience.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience shipping production software on a team.
- Deep proficiency in at least one modern web language or framework and fluency across the stack.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of complex features or systems from design through production.
- Experience leading technical decisions and justifying trade-offs.
- Ability to drive projects autonomously from scoping through delivery in ambiguous environments.
- Experience raising engineering standards through code review and mentoring.
- Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup is preferred.
- Familiarity with compensation, HR technology, or enterprise SaaS is preferred.
- Experience with data-driven products or complex user workflows is preferred.
- Interest or experience in AI systems or ML infrastructure is preferred.
