Responsibilities
- Design and develop autonomous AI agents for complex manufacturing workflows involving multi-step reasoning, planning, and tool execution.
- Implement agentic frameworks that orchestrate LLM interactions with internal APIs, databases, and software tools.
- Build and maintain evaluation harnesses that measure agent accuracy, reliability, and task success.
- Profile agent and inference workloads to identify and resolve compute, latency, and orchestration bottlenecks.
- Implement interoperable multi-agent systems using the Agent-to-Agent protocol and Model Context Protocol, including tools, plugins, and skills.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying AI agents to Kubernetes and cloud-based containerized environments.
- Design security controls for autonomous agents, including sandboxing, access control, and mitigation of prompt-injection and tool-misuse risks.
- Mentor engineers on agentic system design and optimization techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, or a related technical field; a Ph.D. is preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience across large-scale data or machine-learning pipelines and/or production agentic AI systems.
- Experience optimizing inference engines such as vLLM and TensorRT-LLM for autonomous agent and LLM workloads.
- Experience developing generative AI applications and AI agents with agent frameworks; Microsoft Agent Framework or Google Agent Development Kit experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with LLMs, prompt engineering, function calling, tool use, and Chain-of-Thought reasoning.
- Experience designing and implementing RAG pipelines involving document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, and vector search.
- Experience building and operating systems that automate the testing, evaluation, and deployment of autonomous AI agents.
- Familiarity with MCP tools, plugins, and skills, and the A2A protocol.
- Understanding of agent security practices including sandboxing, access control, prompt-injection mitigation, and tool-misuse mitigation.
- Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or other machine-learning frameworks.
- Strong scripting and programming skills, software development experience, and a desire to work in a cloud environment.
- Experience with Kubernetes for orchestrating, deploying, and scaling containerized AI agent workloads.
- Preferred experience with multi-agent systems, agent swarms, agent profiling and evaluation tools, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, TypeScript, Rust, computer vision, or signal processing.
- Ability to transform data science prototypes into production solutions and communicate effectively while meeting critical project timelines.
