Responsibilities

  • Design and develop autonomous AI agents for complex manufacturing workflows involving multi-step reasoning, planning, and tool execution.
  • Implement agentic frameworks that orchestrate LLM interactions with internal APIs, databases, and software tools.
  • Build and maintain evaluation harnesses that measure agent accuracy, reliability, and task success.
  • Profile agent and inference workloads to identify and resolve compute, latency, and orchestration bottlenecks.
  • Implement interoperable multi-agent systems using the Agent-to-Agent protocol and Model Context Protocol, including tools, plugins, and skills.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying AI agents to Kubernetes and cloud-based containerized environments.
  • Design security controls for autonomous agents, including sandboxing, access control, and mitigation of prompt-injection and tool-misuse risks.
  • Mentor engineers on agentic system design and optimization techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, or a related technical field; a Ph.D. is preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience across large-scale data or machine-learning pipelines and/or production agentic AI systems.
  • Experience optimizing inference engines such as vLLM and TensorRT-LLM for autonomous agent and LLM workloads.
  • Experience developing generative AI applications and AI agents with agent frameworks; Microsoft Agent Framework or Google Agent Development Kit experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with LLMs, prompt engineering, function calling, tool use, and Chain-of-Thought reasoning.
  • Experience designing and implementing RAG pipelines involving document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, and vector search.
  • Experience building and operating systems that automate the testing, evaluation, and deployment of autonomous AI agents.
  • Familiarity with MCP tools, plugins, and skills, and the A2A protocol.
  • Understanding of agent security practices including sandboxing, access control, prompt-injection mitigation, and tool-misuse mitigation.
  • Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or other machine-learning frameworks.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills, software development experience, and a desire to work in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with Kubernetes for orchestrating, deploying, and scaling containerized AI agent workloads.
  • Preferred experience with multi-agent systems, agent swarms, agent profiling and evaluation tools, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, TypeScript, Rust, computer vision, or signal processing.
  • Ability to transform data science prototypes into production solutions and communicate effectively while meeting critical project timelines.
