Responsibilities
- Lead finance discovery with controllers, accounting, AP, AR, and treasury teams and translate legacy finance models into Oracle designs.
- Architect chart of accounts, ledgers, legal entities, business units, balancing segments, Subledger Accounting, Accounting Hub, intercompany, tax, multi-currency, and financial reporting solutions.
- Configure General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management hands-on in both Oracle EBS and Fusion.
- Lead conference room pilots, system integration testing, UAT, defect triage, mock closes, subledger-to-GL reconciliation, and legacy trial-balance comparison.
- Configure Fusion using Functional Setup Manager, Enterprise Structures Configurator, rapid-implementation spreadsheets, environment moves, and quarterly-update processes.
- Configure EBS using setup forms, FNDLOAD, and iSetup, including responsibilities, roles, and segregation-of-duties considerations.
- Design Cost Accounting flows where applicable, including inventory, work-in-process, receipt accounting, landed cost, and cost-to-ledger processes.
- Lead Oracle finance pre-sales discovery calls, solution workshops, demonstrations, orals, estimates, proposals, RFP responses, and statements of work.
- Present finance solutions to audiences ranging from AP clerks to CFOs and controllers and serve as the primary finance counterpart for client partners and program managers.
- Guide distributed Oracle finance SMEs and contribute reusable finance designs, fit-gap libraries, configuration templates, test scripts, and pre-sales materials to the Tessera platform.
Requirements
- 15+ years of Oracle Financials experience, including at least three full-lifecycle implementations as a finance lead or solution architect.
- At least one full-lifecycle implementation with Oracle E-Business Suite and one with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.
- At least one implementation moving a customer from a different ERP family, such as PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, NetSuite, SAP ECC, or Infor, to Oracle.
- Deep hands-on configuration experience in General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management across EBS and Fusion.
- Strong accounting and enterprise-structure design experience covering chart of accounts, ledgers, legal entities, Subledger Accounting or Accounting Hub, intercompany, multi-currency, and period-end close.
- Proven Oracle pre-sales experience involving discovery, demonstrations, orals, estimates, proposals, RFP responses, and statements of work.
- Experience leading finance testing through CRPs, SIT, UAT, mock closes, reconciliation, go-live, and initial post-go-live closes.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements and work effectively with distributed onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams.
- Ability to learn and become fluent in the Tessera AI platform and contribute finance expertise back into it.
- Excellent business English, presentation, client communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include Cost Accounting, Profitability and Cost Management, Fusion Revenue Management, Advanced Collections, financial reporting and consolidation, Oracle FCCS or OneStream, relevant industry experience, CPA/CA/ACCA or Oracle Financials certification, AI/automation/RPA delivery experience, and Spanish, Portuguese, or German.
