Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery covering business drivers, technical context, constraints, decision processes, and success criteria.
- Run product demonstrations, workshops, evaluations, and proof-oriented engagements mapping dbt capabilities to customer problems.
- Design solution architectures spanning dbt, warehouses, orchestration, BI, governance, and adjacent ecosystem tooling.
- Partner with account teams on qualification, technical win criteria, risks, next steps, and forecast accuracy.
- Advise analytics engineers, data engineers, architects, and technical decision-makers on architecture and technical strategy.
- Support customer adoption and expansion by connecting technical outcomes to additional use cases and long-term platform value.
- Create reusable demos, templates, write-ups, patterns, and technical assets for other Solutions Architects.
- Influence how dbt-centric architecture patterns are defined, scaled, and reused across accounts and territories.
Requirements
- Experience in pre-sales, solutions architecture, sales engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
- Strong understanding of dbt, analytics engineering, SQL, data transformation, and modern cloud data platforms.
- Ability to lead technical strategy in complex enterprise opportunities with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to balance deal support with long-term architectural quality in ambiguous and changing environments.
- Evidence of mentoring peers or creating assets and practices that improve team effectiveness.
- Strong executive communication, technical storytelling, and written documentation skills.
