Base Salary

$104k - $155k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging for production data pipelines in Databricks.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and reusable deployment workflows for data applications and infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve workflow failures, performance bottlenecks, data-quality issues, and infrastructure incidents.
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data integration solutions for enterprise source systems.
  • Establish standards for software architecture, documentation, code quality, and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, platform engineers, and architects to deliver stable, secure data services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, or a master’s degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in software development, DevOps, platform engineering, data engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and experience developing robust, maintainable, and well-tested application code.
  • Experience building CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or comparable automation platforms.
  • Experience designing and implementing CI/CD practices for data platforms, infrastructure, or software systems.
  • Strong understanding of source control, automated testing, deployment automation, and production support.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex production systems and related operational issues.
  • Preferred experience with Terraform, REST APIs, Databricks, Apache Spark, AWS, Amazon S3, AWS Batch, Amazon MSK or Apache Kafka, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Databricks Workflows, Databricks Asset Bundles, SQL warehouses, observability, incident response, reliability practices, deployment promotion, and enterprise authentication and authorization.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance is preferred.
