Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end AI agents that automate scientific work.
- Work directly with customers to ideate use cases and gather feedback.
- Engineer across the stack, developing LLM-powered primitives and user interfaces.
- Continuously improve the agent platform and contribute to frameworks and tooling.
- Shape AI development at Benchling by driving experimentation and technical direction.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience with backend systems (Python or similar) and modern frontend frameworks (React or equivalent).
- Strong product sense with the ability to iterate based on user feedback.
- Curiosity about LLMs and AI agents, with a desire to impact scientific research.
- Collaborative mindset to work closely with engineers, product managers, and scientists.
- Willingness to learn about biotechnology in a fast-paced environment.
