Base Salary
$95k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve the Wikipedia product experience by fixing bugs and implementing new functionality.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and community members to iterate on new features.
- Write multilingual, accessible, and performant code using JavaScript and PHP.
- Build on top of the MediaWiki API ecosystem.
- Instrument components to monitor feature behavior and quality characteristics.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of related professional or open-source software engineering experience.
- Experience with object-oriented development using a scripting language such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience writing unit tests and using version control.
- Strong written communication skills for online collaboration.
