Base Salary

$160k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Drive system design, architecture, and technical direction for team projects
  • Write production code and establish technical quality through hands-on contribution
  • Mentor engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance without formal management responsibility
  • Partner with Product to translate roadmap priorities into technical plans
  • Identify and resolve technical risk, technical debt, and cross-team dependencies
  • Establish and evolve engineering best practices, standards, and tooling

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of software engineering experience, including leading technical direction on a team
  • Deep hands-on production experience with Python, React, and TypeScript
  • Strong architecture and system design experience in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience mentoring engineers and raising a team’s technical bar through code review and example
  • Ability to align technical decisions with product and business goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Healthcare, supply chain, or other complex regulated-domain experience is preferred
  • Experience scaling systems or engineering practices in an early-stage startup is preferred
