Responsibilities
- Provide principal technical authority and architectural direction for Pega.
- Design end-to-end solutions across case management, workflows, integrations, and data.
- Review designs and code, guide adherence to standards, and identify technical risks, exceptions, and debt.
- Establish workflow platform governance, reusable patterns, and Pega guardrails.
- Shape the technical roadmap and identify modernisation, reuse, and continuous-improvement opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into effective Pega solutions with delivery and demand management teams.
- Provide hands-on support for complex technical issues and engineering assurance across integration, testing, production readiness, and supportability.
- Mentor practitioners and coach teams through design and code reviews without formal people-management responsibility.
Requirements
- Experience designing and delivering Pega Platform solutions, including application development and support.
- Expertise in case and workflow design, integration and data architecture, reusable components, and Pega guardrails.
- Strong ability to review designs and code, diagnose complex issues, and assess security, performance, resilience, and maintainability.
- Sound architectural judgment, strategic thinking, technical credibility, and the ability to influence across disciplines.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with governance, engineering assurance, technical guidance, and coaching.
- Pega certification such as Pega Certified Lead System Architect or equivalent is beneficial.
- Understanding of workflow automation features and their application to modernisation and AI-driven self-service initiatives.
