Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end LCA engagements, including project scoping, data collection strategies, results, interpretation, and reduction roadmaps.
- Deploy and configure carbmee EIS™ for product carbon footprint calculations, Scope 3 supply chain data collection, and activity-based modeling.
- Work directly with customer sustainability, R&D, and procurement teams to design appropriate LCA approaches.
- Support compliance-ready product footprints for CBAM, CSRD, ISO 14067, and EU Battery Regulation requirements.
- Translate LCA results into executive-ready narratives and actionable decarbonization recommendations.
- Troubleshoot allocation decisions, data gaps, and system boundary questions.
- Feed LCA methodology learnings back to the product team.
Requirements
- Solid grounding in LCA methodology, including ISO 14040/14044, GHG Protocol Product Standard, Product Environmental Footprint, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with LCA databases and tools such as ecoinvent, SimaPro, GaBi, or OpenLCA.
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Ecology, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability Science, or a related field.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Ability to communicate technical and scientific complexity clearly to non-specialist audiences.
- Understanding of EU sustainability regulation such as CSRD, CBAM, EU Battery Regulation, or ISO 14067 is preferred.
- Applicants may range from recent MSc graduates with strong academic LCA foundations to senior consulting or industry practitioners.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving software environment and enthusiasm for AI-enabled sustainability work.
- Passion for sustainability and product emissions reduction.
