Responsibilities
- Own one or more end-to-end embedded subsystems for the long-range platform.
- Deliver and maintain flight- and safety-critical code on microcontrollers.
- Define and ship measurable reliability and observability outcomes.
- Lead hardware-in-the-loop, bench, and field validation for changes.
- Build and extend tooling for deterministic testing and automated regression tests.
- Triage and resolve high-severity field incidents.
- Collaborate with avionics, systems engineering, and flight operations.
Requirements
- Substantial systems-level experience shipping embedded production code in C++ or Rust.
- Strong familiarity with Python for test and telemetry tooling.
- Experience with bare-metal and RTOS environments is required.
- Proven track record deploying embedded software in safety- or mission-critical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics and debug hardware/software interactions.
- History of owning subsystem delivery end-to-end and meeting reliability targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in EE/CS or equivalent experience with typically 5+ years in embedded systems.
