Responsibilities
- Work on one or more high-performance systems projects from ideation and design through delivery and maintenance
- Add functionality to existing systems and implement new components, technologies, and patterns
- Develop reliable, efficient, scalable, flexible, multithreaded, asynchronous, and distributed C++ systems
- Collaborate with Quant and Trading teams to obtain requirements, workshop solutions, and implement agreed roadmaps
- Investigate algorithms, data structures, concurrency, networking, performance tuning, data capture and analysis, mathematical modeling, or related engineering problems
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or an equivalent field
- Graduating by August 2028
- Authorized to work in the U.S. on the first day of employment, including F-1 students using OPT or STEM
- Experience programming in modern C++, with C++20 or later and C++23 preferred
- Experience with several areas including distributed systems, parallel processing, asynchronous architectures, networking or protocol encoding and decoding, lock-free data structures and algorithms, performance profiling, or scripting
- Familiarity with debugging tools such as GDB, Valgrind, and AddressSanitizer
- Ability to communicate with non-technical Quant and Trading stakeholders and translate requirements into solutions
- Ability to respond effectively to rapidly changing market conditions and solve math and coding problems quickly and accurately
- Passion for building complex systems and ability to collaborate, work independently, and take ownership of bug fixes

- Prior finance or trading experience is not required
