  • Apply systems thinking across ownership boundaries and pursue end-to-end fixes even when they involve systems owned by others.
  • Scope and build high-leverage solutions, using agents as a workforce where appropriate.
  • Instrument systems for adoption and usage and validate delivered value with data-backed standards.
  • Mentor engineers toward owning highly complex systems and scale personal judgment into others.
  • Identify and mitigate engineering, security, data, and AI-specific risks before release, including misuse, jailbreaks, unintended capability, and data exposure.
  • Lead adoption of new techniques from discovery, spikes, and prototypes through proof of concept and hardened production.
  • Build and own evaluation and validation infrastructure for AI-assisted or AI-native systems.
  • Document systems precisely enough for other teams to consume them without recurring coordination meetings.

Requirements

  • Experience mentoring other Frontier Engineers toward ownership of highly complex systems.
  • Experience taking a technique from a research paper or external source through prototype, proof of concept, and safety-reviewed production rollout.
  • Understanding of AI capabilities and limitations, responsible AI, data classification, privacy, and advanced prompting practices.
  • Ability to apply elevated scrutiny to agent-produced code and evolving AI-specific vulnerability classes.
  • Must hold valid right to work in the United States.

  • Continuous learning, dedicated professional development resources, AI-powered learning tools, and internal development support.
  • Collaborative remote-first culture; RTD EcoPass is available to eligible Colorado-based employees.
