Base Salary
$179k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Deliver robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Drive refactoring, technical debt reduction, system performance improvements, and long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding in multiple listed languages, database and cloud experience, open-source contributions, front-end framework experience, API development, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, AI coding tools, mentoring, observability, and technical leadership.
- Experience establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams is preferred.

- Annual base salary ranges vary by location: $179,400-$204,700 in Chicago, Plano, and Riverwoods, and $197,300-$225,100 in McLean.
