Base Salary
$240k - $315k/yr
Responsibilities
- Advise senior officials at governments, AI Safety Institutes, and international institutions on frontier AI capabilities, benefits, harms, and safety research.
- Develop demos, pilots, prototypes, and evaluation suites showing how Claude can support public missions such as cyber defense.
- Lead technical onboarding, enablement, and hands-on workshops for partner institutions, including national cybersecurity agencies.
- Guide partners through setup, architecture, and integration with Claude Code and the Claude API.
- Represent international partners and collaborate with Product, Research, and Engineering teams on needed capabilities.
- Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of solutions using Anthropic’s latest models.
- Travel internationally for senior leader meetings, technical enablement, and relationship building.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Cybersecurity Engineer working with governments, international organizations, or the public sector.
- Experience in technology policy, AI safety, cybersecurity, or international affairs.
- Experience designing novel solutions for technical platforms in a developing mission area.
- Familiarity with AI model evaluation and safety testing.
- Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
- Understanding of and experience with LLM fundamentals.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, adapt across domains, and develop simple solutions.
- Strong cross-organizational collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills for engaging engineers, officials, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a relevant field demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
Benefits
- Annual salary range of $240,000—$315,000 USD.
- Visa sponsorship is offered, with reasonable efforts made to obtain a visa if an offer is extended, though successful sponsorship is not possible for every role or candidate.
- Hybrid work policy requiring staff to be in an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office time.
- International travel to partner institutions is required.
