Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate production software and cloud infrastructure.
- Define service boundaries, APIs, distributed-system behavior, authentication, authorization, and backward compatibility.
- Build and operate containerized services in a public cloud environment.
- Implement relational database schemas, indexing, query tuning, transactions, and managed migrations.
- Develop asynchronous and message-driven processing with queues, topics, or event streams.
- Deliver software through automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing and Git-based code review workflows.
- Provide production support through logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, incident triage, and rotating on-call participation.
- Own ambiguous problems through design, implementation, and release while decomposing work and raising engineering standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and technology direction.
- Mentor engineers or interns and participate in hiring and interview loops.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years of related experience, or equivalent alternatives including a master’s degree with 2 years, a Ph.D. with 1 year, or 12 years of related experience without a degree.
- Professional experience designing, building, and maintaining production software in a modern object-oriented language.
- Strong command of object-oriented design fundamentals, including encapsulation, composition, interface design, SOLID, dependency injection, and design patterns.
- Experience with microservice or service-oriented architectures, HTTP/REST or equivalent APIs, relational databases, asynchronous processing, public cloud environments, and containerized workloads.
- Experience with automated testing, Git-based workflows, production support, observability, Agile or iterative delivery, and live incident triage.
- Demonstrated senior-level ownership, clear written and verbal communication, and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include C# and .NET, React and TypeScript, PostgreSQL or MySQL, Redis, AWS, infrastructure as code, Docker, distributed-system patterns, performance optimization, feature flags, security scanning, legacy modernization, vendor API integration, multi-tenant SaaS, and relevant automotive, logistics, transportation, or marketplace experience.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring, hiring participation, resiliency practices, and progressive delivery.

- Base salary range of $101,500.00 to $169,100.00, with possible additional incentive compensation.
