Responsibilities
- Map technical risks across Foundations’ core systems and lead architecture work to address scale challenges.
- Own end-to-end, high-stakes technical initiatives spanning multiple teams and business functions.
- Define technical roadmaps and future platform investments, including permissions and AI-native integrations.
- Mentor and enable groups of engineers through coaching programs, documentation, and structured technical development.
- Translate company and customer needs into concrete backend plans and communicate decisions to engineers and executives.
Requirements
- Experience designing and scaling high-volume backend systems such as transactions, search/indexing, billing, or similar systems.
- Experience driving complex, multi-team technical initiatives involving Legal, Risk, Compliance, and leadership.
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments, identify risks, and propose initiatives without waiting for direction.
- Experience raising the effectiveness of groups of engineers through mentoring, documentation, or technical enablement.
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate architecture, prototyping, and communication, with enthusiasm for AI-native platform integrations.
