Base Salary
$251k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create reliable Android components and flows using modern technologies such as Jetpack Compose.
- Build in-car interface features that clearly communicate the vehicle’s intentions and inspire customer trust.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, Product Managers, and Vehicle Software Engineers to launch in-car experiences.
- Design and maintain software controlling in-car displays, audio, and climate systems.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle with emphasis on quality and robustness for safety-sensitive systems.
- Lead technical designs and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 3 years of Android application development experience, including testing, maintenance, and feature launches.
- Ability to independently design and implement significant features or components.
- Proficiency in Kotlin or Java and strong understanding of Android internals.
- Preferred: Android platform/AOSP development, custom Android builds, or embedded systems experience.
- Preferred: In-car infotainment or automotive software development experience.
- Preferred: Performance analysis and optimization for resource-constrained devices.
- Preferred: Full-stack experience designing and integrating server-side APIs for client features.
