Base Salary

$127k - $167k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain patient-facing web and mobile functionality using React or React Native and TypeScript.
  • Develop backend-for-frontend and configuration services using Node.js.
  • Build and consume GraphQL and other APIs connecting frontend experiences to the broader platform.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code using modern engineering practices and test-driven development.
  • Own features from technical design and development through testing, release, and production support.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, Scrum ceremonies, and PI planning.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance and constructive feedback to other engineers.
  • Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes with testing and incident management teams.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, development practices, architecture, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including work on large-scale or complex applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React or React Native and TypeScript.
  • Experience developing backend services or backend-for-frontend applications with Node.js.
  • Experience designing, building, or consuming GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend development and application architecture.
  • Experience with automated and unit testing frameworks such as Jest and with test-driven development.
  • Proficiency with Git and modern version-control workflows.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools in the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving, ownership, communication, collaboration, and continuous-improvement skills.
  • Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other engineers.
  • Preferred experience includes accessibility, Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Figma, design systems, Java, AI/ML-enabled production features, healthcare or regulated software, GxP, SaMD validation, and native iOS or Android development.
