Responsibilities
- Drive technical execution, architecture, and long-term strategy for the federated authentication platform.
- Lead design and implementation of core platform features and foundational framework components.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Principal Engineers to shape the product roadmap and technical strategy.
- Resolve complex technical challenges involving performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and architectural limitations.
- Champion technical excellence, evaluate new technologies and approaches, and improve the identity platform.
- Write clean, modular, well-tested, and maintainable code.
- Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and other improvement areas.
- Mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction across multiple teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years designing and building complex enterprise-grade web applications.
- Proven experience as a technical leader who has architected and delivered large-scale, high-impact software projects.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented language, such as Java or C#.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make high-judgment technical decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and backend architecture, including caching layers, event-driven architectures, and distributed data stores.
- Knowledge of IAM protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, and SAML is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
