Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy production AI applications using Python and Azure.
- Build LLM-powered applications using prompt engineering, model integrations, tool calling, and AI workflows.
- Design and implement RAG solutions using embeddings, vector search, retrieval, knowledge grounding, and evaluation.
- Integrate AI applications with enterprise platforms, external APIs, databases, and Microsoft 365.
- Build scalable backend services, APIs, data models, and application integrations.
- Develop agentic AI workflows using MCP and multi-agent patterns where appropriate.
- Translate ambiguous business and technical requirements into production solutions.
- Apply engineering practices for testing, security, observability, scalability, and performance.
Requirements
- Require 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience building production applications.
- Require strong Python development experience with backend and/or full-stack applications.
- Require hands-on Microsoft Azure experience, including Azure-native services and enterprise integrations.
- Require experience building production applications using LLMs, including prompt engineering and model integration.
- Require hands-on RAG experience with vector search, retrieval patterns, knowledge grounding, and evaluation.
- Require experience integrating external APIs, enterprise platforms, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Require strong database and SQL experience and understanding of APIs, application architecture, and modern software engineering practices.
- Require the ability to take ambiguous business problems from concept through production deployment.
- Preferred qualifications include Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Foundry, MCP, tool integrations, agentic workflows, multi-agent architectures, vector databases, enterprise search, AI evaluation, observability, monitoring, CI/CD, containers, cloud-native deployment, and consulting or complex enterprise experience.
- Must be located remotely within the United States and able to maintain meaningful overlap with Pacific Time working hours; occasional travel may be required.
Benefits
