Responsibilities
- Build production software and data systems beyond traditional ETL pipelines.
- Develop backend applications with a strong focus on Python.
- Perform enterprise-scale data migration, movement, and transformation in cloud environments.
- Analyze large datasets using Databricks and Snowflake.
- Implement distributed batch and stream processing using tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and AWS Kinesis.
- Design workflow orchestration with Apache Airflow or similar tools.
- Architect real-time, event-driven data streams using Kafka and OneStream.
- Develop and optimize large-scale cloud data warehouses and data models in Snowflake and OneLake.
- Implement data quality controls and support compliance governance.
- Collaborate with client teams in a consulting-oriented environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of application development experience with strong Python programming skills.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- At least 4 years of experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL, and complex SQL queries.
- Experience with cloud-based data migration, enterprise-scale data movement, and transformation.
- Experience with Databricks and Snowflake for analyzing large datasets.
- Familiarity with distributed data processing and batch or stream processing tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or AWS Kinesis.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Familiarity with enterprise ETL pipelines, data quality controls, and compliance governance.
- Experience architecting real-time event-driven data streams using Kafka or OneStream.
- Familiarity with cloud data warehousing, performance optimization, and data modeling in Snowflake and OneLake.
- A bachelor’s degree is required, with an alternative of three years of specialized training or progressively responsible technology experience for each missing year of college, in addition to the required experience.
- Java development experience is preferred.
- Experience with AWS Glue or other AWS data integration services is preferred.
- Proficiency with UNIX/Linux environments and basic shell scripting is preferred.
- Experience with Agile teams, Agile engineering practices, consulting, or client-facing collaboration is preferred.
