Base Salary
$168k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale backend systems for spend controls, approval workflows, and card transactions.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to deliver intelligent, user-first finance experiences.
- Integrate with Ramp’s internal AI platform for spend policy enforcement and anomaly detection.
- Own complex projects from architecture through deployment and observability.
- Partner with Product Platform and Integrations teams to maintain reliability, scalability, and data consistency across financial systems.
- Improve transaction and policy infrastructure for performance, accuracy, and resilience.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience, with a backend or backend-focused full-stack background.
- Strong backend systems and API design fundamentals; Python, Go, or TypeScript experience is ideal.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, AWS, and modern observability tooling.
- Ability to balance technical quality with speed and user value in a product-focused environment.
- Fintech or payments experience, exposure to AI- or rule-based automation, ERP or accounting integrations, security or compliance experience, and distributed-systems experience are preferred.
