Base Salary
$96k - $116k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, drive, and execute software solutions and architectural roadmaps for the Bill Pay platform.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java and Spring Boot applications on AWS Cloud.
- Build and enhance event-driven services using Apache Kafka.
- Develop and support PostgreSQL and Oracle database solutions, including SQL and Oracle stored procedures.
- Write automated unit, component, and integration tests while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with Corporate Payments engineering teams to reuse practices, services, and components.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot application development.
- Experience developing and deploying applications on AWS Cloud.
- Experience building event-driven applications with Apache Kafka.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, Oracle stored procedures, and SQL optimization.
- Experience writing high-quality automated tests and understanding the test pyramid.
- Understanding of software design principles, security, and compliance requirements in cloud and data environments.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Preferred: experience in financial services or payments, cloud-native SaaS applications, or geographically distributed engineering teams.
