Base Salary

$140k - $160k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, document, and test software units for modern web applications.
  • Translate high-level requirements into software designs and implementations.
  • Develop, execute, and verify unit and integration tests in coordination with the Software Test team.
  • Identify and implement improvements to software processes.
  • Perform code reviews and provide feedback to peers and junior engineers.
  • Train, mentor, and support the development of junior team members.
  • Diagnose, replicate, and address build and deployment issues.
  • Develop proof-of-concept projects for new technologies and development patterns when assigned.
  • Represent Tandem Software Development with outside entities such as clinical research organizations when assigned.
  • Support compliance with company policies, Privacy/HIPAA requirements, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • At least five years of experience in cloud or web application software development or a related area.
  • Expert knowledge of C# and .NET Core.
  • Experience designing, developing, and testing containerized microservices.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that deploy containerized services to Kubernetes using Helm.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cosmos DB, and Cassandra.
  • Proficiency using Docker containers for development support and deployment.
  • Familiarity selecting and deploying cloud technologies in Azure and/or AWS.
  • Knowledge of REST API contract design.
  • Preferred experience with enterprise messaging buses such as Event Hubs, Kafka, or Kinesis.
  • Ability to work independently, direct the work of junior team members, lead group discussions, and communicate technical information effectively.
