Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, document, and test software units for modern web applications.
- Translate high-level requirements into software designs and implementations.
- Develop, execute, and verify unit and integration tests in coordination with the Software Test team.
- Identify and implement improvements to software processes.
- Perform code reviews and provide feedback to peers and junior engineers.
- Train, mentor, and support the development of junior team members.
- Diagnose, replicate, and address build and deployment issues.
- Develop proof-of-concept projects for new technologies and development patterns when assigned.
- Represent Tandem Software Development with outside entities such as clinical research organizations when assigned.
- Support compliance with company policies, Privacy/HIPAA requirements, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
- At least five years of experience in cloud or web application software development or a related area.
- Expert knowledge of C# and .NET Core.
- Experience designing, developing, and testing containerized microservices.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that deploy containerized services to Kubernetes using Helm.
- Experience with SQL databases such as SQL Server and MySQL.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cosmos DB, and Cassandra.
- Proficiency using Docker containers for development support and deployment.
- Familiarity selecting and deploying cloud technologies in Azure and/or AWS.
- Knowledge of REST API contract design.
- Preferred experience with enterprise messaging buses such as Event Hubs, Kafka, or Kinesis.
- Ability to work independently, direct the work of junior team members, lead group discussions, and communicate technical information effectively.
