Base Salary

$79k - $110k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain Python scripts and libraries for simulation-data analysis, log extraction, and mission or system-performance metrics.
  • Build automated test workflows, test adapters, configuration files, and automation utilities using Python and, when needed, C++.
  • Create scenario-generation and domain-randomization tools for testing autonomy behaviors across varied simulation conditions.
  • Investigate test failures and simulation issues using logs, configuration files, telemetry, rosbags, network captures, and automated test results.
  • Maintain reusable test templates, analysis utilities, standardized reporting outputs, and distributed or batch simulation configurations.
  • Support containerized development, Kubernetes and Terraform configurations, source control, dependency updates, CI/CD pipelines, and software-build troubleshooting.
  • Create developer documentation, setup guides, API references, example workflows, and workspace templates.
  • Participate in code reviews, design and test reviews, and collaborative debugging with autonomy, simulation, platform, and program teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • Foundational software-development experience in Python through coursework, internships, research, personal projects, or professional experience.
  • Familiarity with Python scripting, automation, data processing, Linux development environments, command-line tools, shell scripting, software installation, and debugging.
  • Understanding of Git-based version control, code review, automated testing, and debugging.
  • Familiarity with structured data formats and interfaces such as JSON, YAML, CSV, APIs, and command-line interfaces.
  • Exposure to automated testing, CI/CD systems, simulation environments, robotics, autonomy, data pipelines, or developer tooling.
  • Basic understanding of container concepts and tools such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
  • Preferred experience includes projects involving autonomous systems, robotics, simulation, software testing, data analysis, or distributed computing.
  • Preferred familiarity includes Python data-analysis libraries, CI systems, test frameworks, Dockerfiles, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, ROS, ROS 2, rosbag files, telemetry, distributed computing, Ray, Linux debugging tools, and large-scale simulation workloads.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET security clearance are required.
