Base Salary

$87k - $198k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, test, and maintain software capabilities from requirements through production delivery.
  • Build backend services, RESTful APIs, data integrations, and user-facing application capabilities.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, troubleshoot application issues, conduct code reviews, and improve software quality and maintainability.
  • Work with engineers, architects, product owners, and mission stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable software solutions.
  • Use development tools, frameworks, and cloud technologies within established application architectures and engineering standards.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including developing, testing, integrating, or maintaining software applications.
  • 5+ years of experience developing applications with an object-oriented programming language.
  • 4+ years of experience developing web applications with frontend technologies or frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Experience developing or integrating backend services and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL.
  • Experience with automated build, test, or CI/CD processes and software development tools such as Jira.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments using Scrum or Kanban.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or 12+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Preferred qualifications include Python, enterprise web applications, microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, CloudFormation, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Kubernetes, automated testing, authentication and authorization, logging, monitoring, observability, DevSecOps, project leadership, and mentoring.
