Base Salary
$117k - $138k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement well-scoped cloud storage features as part of larger engineering projects.
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code with guidance from senior engineers.
- Contribute to feature design documentation, code reviews, architecture discussions, and software testing and rollouts.
- Work across the stack from bare metal to user-facing APIs.
- Develop foundational knowledge of distributed storage systems through mentorship, pairing, and collaboration.
- Participate in team initiatives including tech talks, open source exploration, and book clubs.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building or operating software systems through internships, school projects, or approximately one year of professional work.
- Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals including coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, and basic build processes.
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java or Go.
- Basic understanding of Linux fundamentals and computer architecture concepts.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Coursework, personal projects, or internship experience involving storage technologies such as NVMe or SSDs is a bonus.
- Exposure to NFS, SMB, iSCSI, or NVMe-oF is a bonus.
- Open source contributions and basic networking knowledge are bonuses.
