Base Salary
$187k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship catalog features end to end, including API design, business logic, data models, and React UI.
- Participate in catalog modernization using the new stack alongside the existing platform.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for code generation, spec-to-code translation, and automated test creation.
- Write and maintain automated tests, review pull requests, maintain code standards, and improve shared engineering standards.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to refine specifications.
- Instrument services with logging, metrics, and alerts, and participate in on-call rotation and incident response for catalog services.
- Contribute to developer tooling, golden-path standards, and SDLC process improvements as applicable.
Requirements
- Generally requires a minimum of 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on production experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor on a daily basis.
- Experience contributing across the full stack and owning features from specification through deployment, observability, and on-call operations.
- Strong knowledge of software design principles, automated testing, code review, and CI/CD.
- Backend development proficiency in one or more of C#/.NET, Go, Python, or Java, with .NET/C# as the primary current stack.
- Proficiency in React or an equivalent modern frontend framework.
- Experience with relational databases including MS SQL Server or Postgres.
- Proficiency in REST API design and microservice patterns.
- Preferred experience with internal developer tooling, golden-path standards, e-commerce platforms, product catalogs, high-traffic consumer applications, globally distributed teams, architectural decision records, RFCs, or engineering wikis.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required; Google Business Suite experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, or equivalent education and work experience.
