Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java backend applications and data pipelines.
- Lead technical design and architectural discussions for enterprise-grade software solutions.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes that ingest data from APIs, databases, and files.
- Design schemas and work with large-scale SQL and NoSQL datastores.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and deliver features.
- Write maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot performance and reliability issues.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, and deployment.
- Lead, mentor, and guide junior engineers while fostering team learning and collaboration.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and improve engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Java.
- Proficiency with Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate or similar technologies.
- Experience designing, developing, and scaling enterprise-grade applications, including solutions built from scratch.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data pipeline optimization, schema design, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams and delivering software projects successfully.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, front-end technologies, machine learning, and data science concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, independent working, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; Docker or Kubernetes; automated testing; and test-driven development.
