Base Salary
$142k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance full-stack applications supporting Disney’s digital platforms.
- Build Java Spring Boot services and APIs and modern Vue.js user interfaces.
- Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Apply architectural, security, performance, accessibility, reliability, and code-quality standards.
- Optimize systems through caching, asynchronous workflows, efficient data processing, connection pooling, lazy loading, and code splitting.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve scalability, latency, and stability.
- Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams on CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring.
- Participate in code reviews and adopt new technologies, tools, and frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of full-stack development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Vue.js or React.
- Experience building scalable, high-performance backend and frontend solutions for distributed concurrent applications.
- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and UI components.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, and Vue.js or React.
- Understanding of microservices, dependency injection, lifecycle management, and frontend state and component management.
- Experience with backend and frontend performance optimization techniques.
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams and contributing through code reviews and engineering best practices.
- Strong collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and requirements-translation skills.
- Preferred experience with relational databases, schema design, query optimization, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, Kafka, Redis, AWS CloudFront, S3, streaming workflows, video delivery, media distribution, or the entertainment industry.
- Familiarity with using AI tools to accelerate development, debugging, and code quality.
