Base Salary

$206k - $310k/yr

Responsibilities

Drive architecture for complex products by identifying limitations and proposing solutions.
Design and architect large scale systems.
Mentor and coach less experienced members of the Engineering organization.
Ship multiple large services and major pieces of infrastructure.
Facilitate cross-team work to multiply the effectiveness of others.
Set short to medium-term strategic technical direction.

11+ years of software development experience.
Significant experience building software used by thousands of users.
Expertise in at least one programming language such as Go, Perl, Ruby, Python, C/C++, or Java.
Experience with large scale distributed systems programming.
Passion for mentoring and coaching team members.
Record of improving stability, performance, and scalability in critical systems.
Experience with configuration management systems like Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
Deep understanding of virtualization technologies.
Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and Containers is a plus.
