Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, highly available, secure, concurrent, data-intensive enterprise platforms and products.
- Develop full-stack applications, microservices, REST APIs, and agentic AI solutions aligned with architectural standards.
- Contribute to architecture, design reviews, peer code reviews, backlog refinement, and sprint activities.
- Operate in a DevSecOps environment, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain service-level agreements and compliance.
- Collaborate with Product Management, stakeholders, Product Owners, and globally distributed engineering teams.
- Investigate emerging technologies and engineering practices while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of software engineering experience and at least five years of strong Java development experience.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, concurrency, algorithms, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- Strong full-stack experience with Java, Spring Boot, JPA/Spring Data, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience with microservices, REST APIs, Swagger, Hibernate ORM, Maven, JUnit, JMeter, and LoadRunner.
- Experience with relational database modeling, RDBMSs, and NoSQL databases including Redis, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with agentic AI, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, retrieval-augmented generation, and agent-orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with micro-frontends, modern UI frameworks, Agile and Scrum methodologies, test-driven development, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
- Strong communication, organizational, presentation, collaboration, customer focus, ownership, adaptability, and continuous-learning skills; data center experience is an asset.

- Targeted base pay of 88,000–132,000 CAD annually for the Toronto office, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.
