Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate fault-tolerant production systems on AWS using ECS, ECR, and EC2.
- Architect and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Administer Google Workspace, including provisioning, access control, and security configuration.
- Own IAM strategy and access management across AWS accounts while enforcing least privilege.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and related frameworks.
- Continuously improve IT security across user accounts, networking, and data and service access controls.
- Manage virtualization, PaaS, and SaaS environments in AWS for availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Design and maintain highly available, resilient production systems.
- Use DynamoDB and other big data technologies for scalable storage, retrieval, and processing.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through reviews, architectural guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Resolve infrastructure and platform support requests for engineering and operations teams.
- Develop Python and Bash automation and tooling to improve operations and developer productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience building infrastructure and tooling for large-scale cloud operations.
- Extensive hands-on AWS development and administration experience, including ECS, ECR, and EC2.
- Deep expertise in AWS IAM, roles, policies, permission boundaries, and cross-account access patterns.
- Proven experience administering Google Workspace, including user lifecycle management, security settings, and integrations.
- Strong proficiency with Terraform, including module design, state management, and remote backends.
- Significant experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and build, test, and deployment frameworks.
- Demonstrated IT security experience covering user accounts, network security, and data and service access governance.
- Experience managing virtualization technologies and PaaS and SaaS solutions in AWS production environments.
- Experience designing and operating fault-tolerant, highly available production systems at scale.
- Experience with DynamoDB, including data modeling, access patterns, and operational management.
- Experience mentoring engineers and handling platform or infrastructure support requests.
- Strong Python and Bash programming skills for scripting, automation, and operational tooling.
- Preferred experience includes Lambda, Batch, SageMaker, VPC design, CloudFormation, autonomy or robotics infrastructure, ROS/ROS2, C++, engineering leadership, cloud cost optimization, operational visualization and observability tools, Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins.
