Base Salary
$100k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead implementations for strategic enterprise customers from kickoff through live production deployment.
- Connect Sigma to customer data platforms, model data, configure security and governance, and build Sigma documents for customer use cases.
- Embed with customer teams to design and build workbooks, data apps, input tables, and automated workflows on live warehouse data.
- Ship production-grade solutions and configure Sigma Assistant so business users can ask questions of their data in plain language.
- Lead discovery sessions, working sessions, and troubleshooting calls with business users and data engineers.
- Monitor and resolve query performance, data accuracy, and governance issues in production.
- Escalate technical blockers, integration gaps, and customer requests to internal teams and document them with full context.
- Create implementation guides, solution templates, and reusable deployment patterns, and mentor newer engineers.
- Build customer relationships and identify additional teams, use cases, and data sources where Sigma can help.
- Travel to customer sites up to 25% depending on location.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as forward deployed engineering, solutions or sales engineering, analytics engineering, or professional services.
- Strong SQL and hands-on data modeling skills.
- Direct experience with at least one of Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Experience building production analytics or data applications with ownership from design through deployment.
- Clear communication with technical and business stakeholders ranging from analysts to senior executives.
- Ability to work independently through ambiguity and manage multiple customer engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent technical and business experience.
- Experience with Sigma or comparable analytics platforms such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI is preferred.
- ETL and transformation experience with Fivetran, dbt, or Matillion is preferred.
- Python experience for building integrations, APIs, and supporting tooling is preferred.
- Experience embedding analytics into customer-facing applications and working with enterprise data governance and security requirements is preferred.
