Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate highly available, high-throughput ingestion layers for utilization and configuration metrics from millions of resources.
  • Build and scale reliable, low-latency data pipelines and services that collect, clean, aggregate, and label metrics and billing data.
  • Own systems end to end, including architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and operations across multiple regions and isolated partitions.
  • Partner with data scientists and engineering teams to define data requirements and deliver structured, intelligently partitioned data lakes.
  • Design secure, scalable, cost-efficient, serverless, and decoupled distributed architectures.
  • Establish ingestion and publishing SLAs and implement backfill, data-correction, data-quality, and operational-excellence processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
  • 2+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
