Base Salary
$112k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve AI-powered software products, including LLM applications, machine learning models, intelligent automation, and MCP servers.
- Own the AI/ML lifecycle from requirements analysis and model design through training, evaluation, API development, deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
- Package models as documented APIs and integrate AI capabilities into dashboards, applications, and operational workflows.
- Establish MLOps practices covering experiment tracking, model versioning, automated evaluation, A/B testing, monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement.
- Design vector database architectures, semantic search, RAG retrieval strategies, and LLM application evaluation frameworks.
- Partner with BI, data platform, executive, and domain teams to translate operational needs into measurable AI/ML outcomes.
- Drive AI/ML technical leadership, roadmap development, reusable components, responsible AI practices, and communication with nontechnical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 3 years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience building and deploying machine learning models and/or AI-powered applications to production.
- Production programming experience with appropriate technologies such as Python, Java, C#, or TypeScript.
- Experience building data platforms and production LLM-powered applications, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and vector databases.
- Strong knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, time-series forecasting, classification, and optimization.
- Experience with MLflow, model registries, automated training pipelines, A/B testing frameworks, model monitoring, and DevOps collaboration.
- Experience with AWS, Visual Studio, Databricks, GitHub, and REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask.
- Experience building solutions for supply chain, manufacturing, maintenance, or operations analytics is preferred.
- Ability to mentor others, translate AI/ML concepts and limitations for stakeholders, define business outcomes, and work effectively through ambiguity.
