Responsibilities
- Break down functional and non-functional requirements into components, data-ingestion pipelines, services, and front ends.
- Collaborate with data architects to define efficient strategies for ingesting, transforming, managing, and consuming data.
- Coach and support engineers in implementing architectural designs.
- Develop architecture decision records, strategic patterns, reusable code, and solution strategies with domain and solution architects.
- Own and drive overall solution designs and support delivery teams in presenting designs to design authorities.
- Research and assess new technologies and define usage patterns to improve the organization’s architecture and technology estate.
- Design or integrate ABAC and RBAC controls and systems, including IAM.
- Use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying responsible judgment to data and AI outputs.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in Java or .NET engineering and architecture.
- Very good understanding of the Java ecosystem, particularly J2EE, Spring Boot, and current JDKs.
- Good understanding of .NET, TypeScript, and Python is advantageous.
- Experience deploying workloads to the cloud, preferably GCP.
- Ability to break down complex problems into implementable components and think strategically about reusable architecture patterns.
- Experience in the financial industry or asset management is preferred.
- Experience with TOGAF or SAFe is advantageous.
- Experience designing, building, or integrating ABAC or RBAC controls or IAM systems.
- Ability to apply critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
