Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as an individual contributor through code reviews, mentorship, technical direction, and support for feature teams.
  • Design, implement, test, and manage reusable Terraform infrastructure-as-code modules.
  • Deploy, configure, maintain, upgrade, and optimize Kubernetes clusters on GKE and EKS, including networking, service meshes, availability, and resource utilization.
  • Develop and maintain internal CI/CD delivery systems using tools such as Argo CD or Atlantis.
  • Diagnose and resolve platform performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues using logs, metrics, incident-response plans, and post-mortems.
  • Drive automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and other operational workflows.
  • Partner with development teams to translate infrastructure and developer-experience needs into platform capabilities and roadmaps.
  • Build internal platform software, services, tools, and APIs that improve self-service and developer productivity.
  • Implement security controls including access management, vulnerability management, encryption, security audits, penetration testing, and compliance practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps engineering, or related roles building and maintaining complex cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on coding proficiency in Go, TypeScript, or other relevant languages, including data structures, algorithms, and defensive programming.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, GKE, EKS, and Terraform.
  • Experience building scalable, reliable, secure, automated cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Argo CD, Atlantis, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Extensive experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and prior experience on platform engineering projects.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
