Responsibilities
- Build and operate resilient backend services and APIs for enterprise workflows and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Integrate LLM and prompt capabilities into production services with guardrails, fallback paths, response validation, monitoring, and auditability.
- Design versioned service interfaces, API contracts, and integration patterns.
- Implement RAG, orchestration workflows, vector search, embeddings, indexing, metadata filtering, hybrid search, and production scaling.
- Build React-based user experiences and dashboards for AI-powered applications.
- Design persistence layers, data models, schemas, event-driven processing, asynchronous workflows, reliability controls, and idempotency.
- Build release automation and environment promotion controls, and implement testing, observability, alerting, and production support practices.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and deliverables while collaborating with Business, Operations, Risk, and Technology stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of hands-on software engineering experience delivering production systems.
- Strong backend services and API development experience using Java and/or Python.
- Experience with distributed systems, service design, API contract management, cloud-native development, and AWS services.
- Experience with CI/CD, release automation, deployment practices, testing, production readiness, quality, reliability, and operational support.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including translating business intent into executable technical plans.
- Preferred: at least 1 year integrating AI/LLM functionality into enterprise applications, including guardrails and monitoring.
- Preferred: experience with vector search, embeddings, RAG, observability platforms, SRE-style operational practices, secure SDLC, governance, financial services, technology risk, controls, or audit-oriented environments; relevant cloud certifications are also preferred.
