Responsibilities
- Write maintainable and performant software and maintain custom tools, services, and quality gates.
- Lead component-level and system-level architecture, code reviews, technical decisions, and technical roadmaps across teams.
- Define and govern architectural standards, patterns, best practices, security standards, and performance benchmarks.
- Own the technical vision for key platform components and align platform capabilities with product and engineering goals.
- Automate unit and integration testing within deployment pipelines and improve how code is written, tested, deployed, and monitored.
- Drive shared infrastructure, APIs, and platform capabilities that reduce duplication and increase reuse.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks and recommend solutions for long-term scalability.
- Serve as a technical authority and escalation point for complex engineering challenges and design trade-offs.
- Promote adoption and best practices for AI developer tools and identify opportunities to improve developer productivity.
- Mentor junior, mid-level, and senior engineers and foster continuous technical growth.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 2+ years in an architect or technical lead capacity.
- Proficiency in C#, Java, and/or Python development.
- Experience with GitHub for version control, workflows, and collaboration.
- Experience with Ansible and Terraform for automation and infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in Docker for containerization and deployment.
- Experience automating quality gates, static code analysis, and integrations with orchestration and build systems.
- Demonstrated experience making architectural decisions for large-scale distributed systems in cloud-native environments.
- Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, API design, and platform engineering principles.
- Experience with AI tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude.
- Ability to influence and align diverse engineering teams around shared architectural visions and technical roadmaps.
- Ability to deliver high-quality software and communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
