Responsibilities
- Define and drive the architectural vision, roadmap, and technology strategy for a cloud-native observability platform supporting 4G/5G Core Networks.
- Design scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available solutions using Kubernetes, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies.
- Evaluate technologies, architecture patterns, and platform capabilities and provide recommendations for technology adoption and investment.
- Lead architecture reviews and critical design decisions aligned with business, product, operational, and platform-evolution goals.
- Advance observability, OAM/FCAPS, analytics, and operational automation for network visibility and efficiency.
- Solve system-level performance, scalability, reliability, and production-deployment challenges across application, platform, and infrastructure layers.
- Partner with customers, Product Management, Operations, and Engineering to translate requirements into solutions and customer outcomes.
- Mentor engineering teams, establish architectural governance and best practices, and drive technical excellence.
Requirements
- An engineering degree or equivalent, with 15+ years of experience in telecom, cloud-native platforms, and large-scale production environments.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including CRDs, Operators, and Controllers, as well as OpenShift, microservices, distributed systems, and platform engineering.
- Strong expertise in OAM/FCAPS, 4G/5G Core Networks, Network Functions, SNMP, and 3GPP standards.
- Hands-on experience with high-scale data ingestion, ETL, event-driven and streaming architectures, and analytics using Kafka, ClickHouse, VictoriaMetrics, MariaDB, and data lakes.
- Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry, OTLP, OpAMP, PromQL/VMQL, metrics, logs, traces, correlation, automated RCA, anomaly detection, and operational analytics.
- Experience designing highly available, scalable, resilient, secure, and multi-tenant platforms, including Kubernetes operations, automation, IaC, CI/CD, and cloud-native security.
- Experience driving technology strategy, architecture governance, platform evolution, and AI/Agentic AI adoption is preferred.
- Experience partnering with customers, product, engineering, and executive stakeholders and enabling teams through architectural guidance is preferred.
