Base Salary
$150k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own reliability across GCP infrastructure including Kubernetes and data pipelines.
- Lead incident response processes including on-call rotations and postmortems.
- Architect and execute database scaling strategies for MySQL and Postgres.
- Collaborate with product engineering to translate feature requirements into infrastructure designs.
- Manage Terraform configurations and Kubernetes clusters.
- Oversee Elasticsearch cluster management and performance tuning.
- Build and maintain observability tools like metrics and dashboards.
- Enhance CI/CD reliability and delivery pipelines.
Requirements
- Experience in startups with a focus on rapid growth and scaling.
- Strong judgment in distinguishing between durable fixes and temporary patches.
- Hands-on experience with scaling and sharding relational databases in production.
- Deep knowledge of GCP services including Kubernetes and IAM.
- Fluency in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience operating Elasticsearch in production environments.
- Strong incident response skills and clear communication under pressure.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions in CI/CD environments.
