Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver, and maintain software or infrastructure solutions for a medium-to-large product team.
- Solve complex and escalated project issues through coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Provide advanced technical expertise and identify and implement continuous improvement plans.
- Collaborate with Development & Engineering and Architecture teams to deliver leading solutions.
- Lead the work group by establishing appropriate expectations, structures, tools, responsibilities, and technical standards.
- Develop and apply AI-forward engineering processes, including language-model fine-tuning, embeddings, agentic systems, and AI evaluation frameworks.
- Ensure solutions meet business and user requirements from both business and technical perspectives.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in one or more of C#, Java, or Python.
- Advanced knowledge of data modeling, OLTP, OLAP, NoSQL, data lineage, or synthetic data creation.
- More than 10 years of applied experience and significant experience in an internal or external software or platform engineering role.
- Experience delivering software or platform engineering solutions and providing comprehensive technical advice.
- Experience with CI/CD using code management, configuration management, and automation tools such as GitHub and ADO.
- Proficiency in fine-tuning language models for text generation, summarization, or question answering.
- Knowledge of embedding models for similarity matching, clustering, and information retrieval.
- Familiarity with designing and implementing agentic systems that combine AI models with external tools or environments.
- Ability to design AI and agent evaluation frameworks using metrics, A/B testing, and performance benchmarking.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes data management or supply-chain domains, finance and accounting concepts, analytics and reporting solutions, Microsoft, Google, or AWS certifications, Databricks, Azure Data Services, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Proven experience building applications with Kubernetes and Docker.
