Responsibilities
- Drive technical delivery for large-scale generative AI products and infrastructure.
- Provide hands-on engineering leadership and influence technical direction across a large engineering organization.
- Research emerging technologies and processes and drive their adoption.
- Lead stakeholders and teams toward technology changes aligned with HSBC Technology’s strategic vision.
- Communicate technical vision, strategy, and direction to engineers, business stakeholders, and senior managers.
- Identify business risks and opportunities and engineer solutions with business impact in mind.
- Contribute to technical governance and potentially serve on the Technical Design Authority.
- Continuously improve personal and team capability while prioritizing team success.
Requirements
- Experienced in delivering generative AI solutions at enterprise scale.
- Familiarity with agentic AI, MCP, RAG, and knowledge management.
- Demonstrated mastery of a technical discipline and ability to apply expertise across multiple problem areas.
- Ability to provide positive, hands-on engineering leadership with broad organizational impact.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, explain technology to business and senior managers, and communicate technical strategy clearly.
- Ability to identify problems or opportunities and engineer effective solutions.
- Broad generalist perspective, holistic problem-solving approach, and understanding of business impact.
