- Design, develop, and implement scalable GCP platform foundations that improve security, governance, and developer experience.
- Build and evolve GCP landing zones, including project structures, IAM models, networking standards, and organization policies.
- Deliver integrated self-service platform experiences that simplify common cloud use cases for developers.
- Build centralized infrastructure provisioning workflows and promote everything-as-code practices.
- Define secure defaults, preventative guardrails, and automated security, governance, and compliance controls for GCP services.
- Improve IAM practices, least-privilege access, authentication controls, project lifecycle management, and cleanup automation.
- Improve observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, resilience, and operational readiness of cloud environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, platform incident escalation, interviewing, onboarding, and cross-team engineering collaboration.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in software, platform, or site reliability engineering within the technology sector.
- Solid experience with at least one programming language, especially Go, Python, Java, Ruby, or Perl.
- Proven expertise with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform.
- Deep knowledge of cloud computing fundamentals and desirable experience developing cloud landing zones in GCP or AWS.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Graphite, Grafana, Kibana, or Elasticsearch is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of Service Level Agreements and Service Level Objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts effectively in English.
- Creative problem-solving ability and an everything-as-code mindset for operating systems at large scale.
