Responsibilities
- Design and develop geospatial applications that integrate spatial data with Camstar MES.
- Implement data models and services for map-based insights, production data, near real-time monitoring, and analytics.
- Build reusable components and APIs for geospatial layers, spatial queries, and MES events.
- Optimize .NET and Camstar MES integrations, database interactions, and service configuration for improved latency and throughput.
- Translate functional requirements into technical designs and implementation plans with cross-functional partners.
- Perform impact analysis for changes affecting geospatial components, Camstar MES workflows, and downstream reporting.
- Write unit and integration tests, conduct peer reviews, and validate security, resilience, and functional correctness.
- Apply secure coding practices and compliance guidelines to protect operational and location data.
- Troubleshoot production incidents involving geospatial services, .NET APIs, and Camstar MES interfaces.
- Create solution designs, deployment runbooks, technical documentation, and support guides.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and cloud teams on hosting, scalability, monitoring, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Evaluate geospatial, .NET, and MES improvements and mentor less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
- Eight to twelve years of hands-on .NET development experience focused on enterprise applications.
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and web services for large-scale business applications.
- Proven experience implementing and customizing Camstar MES, including workflow configuration, external-system integration, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
- Understanding of coordinate systems, spatial data models, mapping services, and relevant geospatial libraries or platforms.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, including schema design, stored procedures, and performance optimization for spatial and MES data.
- Strong API design and integration experience, including REST-based services, message-based communication, and secure data exchange.
- Proficiency with source control, continuous integration pipelines, and automated deployment practices.
- Clear communication skills for working with technical and nontechnical partners in distributed teams.
- Commitment to continuous learning across .NET, geospatial technologies, and MES solutions.
