Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of Java-based enterprise applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Guide and mentor development team members while enforcing coding standards, quality practices, and technical excellence.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions and collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, and operations.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, data access layers, and application performance.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and system resilience improvements.
- Support deployment activities and automate release processes using CI/CD pipelines.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain system design, API, and deployment documentation and evaluate emerging Java tools and frameworks.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of proven experience as a Java developer in enterprise settings.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, microservices, and enterprise application development.
- Experience leading development teams, mentoring developers, and delivering complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases including MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, Agile/Scrum practices, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Ability to design scalable solutions, optimize performance, secure applications, and translate business requirements into technical implementations.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, NoSQL databases, monitoring tools, or Java certifications such as OCP is preferred.
- Finance, banking, or large-scale enterprise experience is a plus, though equivalent experience in other domains is acceptable.
